Lake Dawson Bar & Grill Seafood Feast

The Lake Dawson Bar and Grill was open for a special seafood event on Saturday, March 17, 2012. A special menu was prepared for the event and written personally by Chef Scoot and Chef Lance. The first slide show below is the specially prepared menu.

The video below was allowed to be made on this special occasion thanks to the graciousness of the chefs whom usually like to remain anonymous and out of sight.

Now on to the reason for the special opening of the Lake Dawson Bar & Grill for this event. It was a "Special" showing of the latest horseshoe sculpture created by none other than the famous Cowboy Art Sculptor Lance B. The slide show below is the premier public showing of his latest sculpture titled:

"The Judgement Tree".

The only thing that Sculptor Lance uses is real horseshoes with the exception of the flat washer that serves as the brim of the cowboy's hat.

Sorry that it took me so long to get these photos uploaded and posted. As you look at them you will see some taken during our evening meal and afterwards while playing music on home made instruments. You will also see a lot of photos taken around the beautiful homestead. The homestead photos were taken by Dean Cole of Wentzville, Mo. Deane is a long time family friend and is very dear to all of us hillbillies here in Dawson, Mo.

I have a couple of videos to try to add also. Hopefully I will be able to add there here soon. The party was held at the Lake Dawson Bar and Grill.

Nephews made this for their Mother for Christmas. I havent spoken to them yet but I saw it at her place this morning while visiting. I believe she said they are thinking about making and selling a few. Would you be interested???
It stands about 18 inches tall or so.

Dinner at the Lake Dawson Restaurant

We were invited out to a nice meal at the Lake Dawson Restaurant for our 37th Wedding Anniversary. It was a great evening. The meal consisted of - fresh made "Bloody Marys", shrimp cocktails, fresh bluegill and catfish from Lake Dawson, cabbage stuffed with Vidalia onion and covered with a fine sauce, white beans, Lance's special Macaroni Salad, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, scratchmade "hushpuppies" and guacamole dip with tortilla chips. Soft music played in the background as we enjoyed our meal.
The Lake Dawson Restaurant sits on Green Tree Road near Dawson, Mo and within sight of Lake Dawson.
