It was a dark and stormy night, an ironic circumstance that totally escaped discernment by Libby Percival, given the fact that she currently laid in a persistent vegetative state, the victim of a beating from a man she’d pulled over to assist. However, irony would not be satisfied by singularity tonight on the seventh floor ICU of St. Francis Hospital, for even now the ER processed Lucius Tolliver, a man who, after a painful diagnostic battery of tests and subsequent coma, would succumb from the hepatitis B he contracted earlier in the evening when bitten by a woman he had savagely raped and left to die.
