You're Not Alone

You're Not Alone

Through the dusk, that murky place where dreams are grown,

Comes a shadow filled with grace, a truth we’re shown,

And you stare outside your window on a world

Where our visions whirl and insights freely swirl,

You’re not alone.

If you could see, freely be outside yourself,

An open book, free to climb down off your shelf,

Then you would see you’d always be a part of me

Pages turned or even burned, you’d still be free…

You’re not alone.

Don’t worry about your future or your past,

And never fear your die may not be cast,

If you close your eyes and still can plainly see

Any trace of memory that vaguely looks like me

You’re not alone.

If you could see so far, beyond the brightest star,

Troubles vanish, fright is banished from where you are,

Then you’d be free to calmly look inside of me,

And never fear through coming years what you might see,

You’re not alone.
