Kelley's Dairy attends farm auction
Sunday, November 9th we attended a farm auction at my sister-in-law Mary's place. Her farm is approx 10 miles north of Mtn Grove, Mo near the community of Dawson. She was having the auction due to the fact that she has decided to sell her place and move into town and just simply did not need all the things to run a farm any longer. The day started out cool but the sun was bright and it soon warmed up nicely. I have added some pictures below of the auction. The first are taken before it begins and it progresses from there. Alas I forgot to keep taking pictures as the day progressed.
My bro-in-law Lonnie and his daughter Taylor arriving for the auction. His wife Joni is coming up behind him. Taylor has just gotten her drivers license and he let her drive the truck to the auction.
All in all Mary had a real good auction thanks to lots of bidders and the excellent services provided by the Rick Dixon Auction Service.

The bidding was hot and heavy and what the auctioneers thought would take a couple of hours stretched to over three hours. I have to commend the auctioneers for the way they handled the sale. They did not just rush through but took their time and got all the bids they could on each individual item. I have to recommend the auction service of Rick Dixon Auctions. I have been to a lot of farm auctions and I thought that they did an outstanding job. They charged my sister-in-law Mary quite a bit less than the other major farm auction business in this area and worked just as hard and got just as much money for Mary. The Rick Dixon Auction service is located in Houston, Mo and wanting to get more auctions in this area. I would say with the excellent job that they did that they will soon have more auctions than they can handle.
If you are planning on having an auction give Rick Dixon Auction service a call.
