Kelley's Dairy Vegetable Harvest
Mary and Glinda put in quite a few hours today canning these green beans. They sure will taste good when the snow flies but right now we have plenty for fresh eating and for sale.
This is what Glinda has picked for one vegetable buyer that is coming this evening. She has this many tomatoes in the house to work up as canned tomatoes or tomato juice tomorrow.
We are starting to get cucumbers from the second planting and the first is about gone. The first planting corn is perfect for eating and Glinda has been storing a lot of it and I have been eating 5 to 7 ears each night. We need to hurry with the first planting of corn because the second planting is coming on very soon.
I will be planting more cucumbers and lettuce and radishes very soon.
