Zinnias at Kelleys Dairy

Zinnias are an old flower.  You have to start them every year from seed. My Great-Grandmother, Ola, "Ma" , (Owens) Kelley used to raise them every year in beds that completely surrounded the house.  I had not thought of them for years until I ran across seeds for sale in a seed catalog.   Plant places never have seedling "Zinnias" so we started growing our own plants.  Sure glad we did as I enjoy them greatly.  I can never look at a Zinnia without thinking of Ma Kelley and thinking of her always brings back pleasant memories.  I may owe my passion for flowers to her as I can always remember how good it smelled around her house in the summertime when I would stay the night and get to help (watch) her water and take care of her many flowers.
