TV Westerns - Judge Roy Bean
We just finished another side of one dvd. It had 6 episodes of the TV western "Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, The Law West of the Pecos". It starred Edgar Buchanan who went on to play Uncle Joe on "Petticoat Junction". There were no bit players on any of the 6 episodes that we recognized. This side of the dvd also had one episode of "Wyatt Earp" starring Hugh O'Brian and we were able to spot one bit player that we recognized though it took some thinking. We watched the credits but did not recognize the name but the actor we recognized was the man who played the 'Town Drunk' Otis on the "Andy Griffith show". He played a bartender here - go figure. When we get some more watched we will have another report. We sure enjoy watching these old westerns. Now we are getting ready to watch the CBS miniseries "Comanche Moon" based on the book Lonesome Dove.
