Ozarks "Black Gold"
The three videos below were taken today when we hauled the Grandkids "Ozarks Black Gold" to the hullers. Black Walnuts are a cash crop here in the Ozarks and every fall when they start falling from the trees people, young and old can be found picking them up and taking them to a huller to be processed. They are then paid depending on the weight of the hulled walnuts. This year they were worth $13.00 a hundredweight. For those of you whom have never seen black walnuts going through the hulling process I thought this might be interesting for you.
