Glinda's Introduction to a Chop Saw

Cool Slideshows!
August 27 we had some new grates made at Douglas Coal and Wrecking in Mtn Grove for the dairy barn. The grates are installed where the cows stand while being milked. We thought we had measured correctly but, alas, we had not. So we had to cut 1/2 to 3/4 inch from each one. We first tried grinding them off with a hand held grinder but that was too slow. We decided to try the metal cutting chop saw and since I had to hold the grates in place Glinda was introduced to the world of cutting metal with a chop saw. Mitzi took photos and otherwise oversaw the operation.

I have posted eight photos in the "Spiral". First time I have tried to do a "Spiral" What do you think of it? Please leave comments so I know you visited. Comments won't hurt you and you do not have to sign in, you may post anonymously just sign your initials at the bottom of your comment.

Way to go Mom.

As far as the spiral. I don't like it much. I have to slick on the picture to see it well and then they keep moving so I forget which one to click on next to see the next picture. Just my opinion. Looks neat though.

I am not real wild about it either but thought I would give it a try. Kinda fun though isn't it?
