Garden Update 8-5-07

The corn you see in the foreground is our fourth planting this year but right behind it is our third planting of corn and it should be ready to eat by the end of the week. You can see the third planting way to the rear on the right. I had the last of it this evening for supper.
I just love fresh grown corn-on-the-cob from our own garden.

Don't mind the weeds you see laying on the ground I have them pulled but instead look at all the tomatoes. Glinda is picking and selling a lot of tomatoes. Tomorrow her sister, Mary is coming over and the two of them are going to process a lot of the tomatoes and make their brother, Donnie some tomato juice.

We have been picking lots of cantaloupes. The first planting is really producing more than we can use but Glinda has been selling quite a few for a buck apiece. Second planting will be coming on before long.
