46th Anniversary for MMCS H. D. Kingsland and Alice Kingsland
Alice Snavely and Harold Kingsland had both been previously married when they tied the knot on October 11, 1964. Harold was making a career in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Long Beach, California aboard the USS Maddox at the time. The new family of Mr and Mrs Kingsland included her sons from a previous marriage , Joe and Max. The Kingslands added another son on December 17, 1966, Dean Maurice. Max perished in a tragic accident on March 7, 1967 and left behind two brothers, Joe and Dino.
Harold remained in the Navy and they lived in many different places during the remainder of his career before retiring to Mountain Grove, Missouri.
October 10th (Sunday) saw a family gathering of Joe, his wife Glinda and of their children and grandchildren to celebrate the 46th Anniversary of their marriage. Dean and his wife Kim were unable to attend as they live quite some distance away.
"Gramps" wanted to cook shrimp for everyone and the photos below are of them cooking and then the grandchildren playing in the trees and such.
