Stress
Noises coming, reverberating
closer
in and out fading
calm
only to start growing wild again
stressful teasing, taunting, driving me out of my mind
closer, farther
running on bumpy black roads
stumbling until behind me hearing
horses' hooves pounding
whipped by red devil's anger
sparks against horse flesh bolts of intimidation flying
flooding my mind damned ricocheted racket of portending doom
killing my gentle heart by ruthless shrieks
intermittent pounding, whispering, teasing, only to slice once more
at my being.

Stress...
Stress...I can almost imagine the pressure of the pen (or the intensity of fingers on the keyboard) while this piece is written.
And the frankness, too, is there, staring the reader in the eye.
masterfully crafted :) love it
