Morning

A septet

Morning

Night blushes

prodded by tremors
of gray, pink, blue excited
sprinkles of morning's vibrant rushing
before hot floods of yellow
wash across it all
in glory.

Okay, as a non-poet, I must ask a question... how would this sound or read any differently if not set up in septet form? I didn't perceive any visual clues that made each line unique entities or stand-alone sequences. I honestly hadn't thought about how poetry 'looks' on the page as being important without an emotional trigger built in... that being said, I like it very much and respect your abilities in creating it.

I too am totally impressed by your command of form. And the image works so well. I can see it and each line is important the way it stands. You make it look so easy.
