I had company today. My son, his wife and my Great grandaughter stopped by for a visit. Adilee and I had a great time.

I was going to post some pictures of her but for some reason my computer won't upload them.

3 months and 3 days without a cigarette.

Well I finally had my back surgery. So far it seems to be a great success! At least I am having no pain. I am sore, but  thats  natural. I am sure excited about getting back to living again!! YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Oh yeah and 2 months and 14 days without a cigarette!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom, Gary & I went to Springfield on Friday. We went early and went yardsaling. Then at 11;30 I had a doctor's appointment. They showed me how to give myself my shots. They want me to take them for 2 years at about $1,000.00 a month..yeah right!! Anyway I have to take them for at least the first month so they will do my surgery. My surgery is scheduled for October 1st. at 6:30 am...kinda early.

Well I am still alive. Lol!

Seems like forever since I posted.  So thought I would try to update and let everyone know whats been happening in my world lately.

I had my accident on July 18 and still have not had anything done to fix my back. Hopefully it will be soon. The good thing is my surgery is healing nicely. Now my ribs are another story. I don't think they are ever gona heal..lol.

I also an still not smoking. Its hard though. Sometimes I want a cigarette so bad I could cry, but I keep hanging in there. It's been 33 days smoke free now. Yipee!!

My sister had her surgery. It turned out not to be cancer. Thank God. She is now home from Columbia and is recuping. I am going to go visit her today.

My aunt from Salem Or. was here for 2 weeks. Tom and I took her back to the airport on Wednesday. We had a good visit. I am sure going to miss her.

Amanda and I went to bingo last night. I didn't win but she won 2 split games and she shared with me (we always split our winnings) so we each come  home with $50.00. Not bad!!

Guess thats all thats going on in  my world. Take care everyone.

Well as most of you know I had an accidenr on the 18th and have been in the hospital.

 

Stacey and I were riding in a dune buggy and had a wreck. Anyway I am now in Cox  Sourth HospTAL.  I M  hoping to come home tomorrow. The dr came in today and said if everything comes out ok tomorrow I can come home. I sure hope so. They will either do surgery on my back tomorrow or put it in a back brace. . If they put a back brace on I will remail in it for 5 weeks. There is also an oeration option. Not sure whatss gona happen but they should let me kno tomorrow..

 

I willl try to update again when I get home or after the dr. comes in tomorrow.

Well we started trying to quit smoking on July 6th. Now 10 days later we are still going. When I started I was smoking between 2 1/2 to 3 packs a day. I am now down to 1/2 pack a day. I hope to never smoke that much a day from now on. I am hoping to continue to go downward.

I was hoping to be completely quit by the 18th but I am not sure we will be. I don't want to hurry it any because I am afraid if I do I will give up and go back to before and I sure don't want to do that. Anyway I am real proud of what we have accomplished so far...

Wish us luck..we need it...

I want to wish my oldest son Tom a Happy Birthday.  He turned 40 today. Boy that makes me really old doesn't  it? lol!!  Love ya son!! Have a wonderful day!!
