Quote of the Day - "Clearly, this moral decay is the result of Darwinism."

This quote brought to you by Tegumai Bopsulai, a bloke that left a comment on one of the most poignant, scientifically important, and hilarious (I do have a warped sense of humor) stories I have ever read.

Attack of the Evil Monkeys - Wild Vervet Monkeys Wreak Havoc in Kenya

Just to offer a taste of why you need to read this article, here is a quote:
"The monkeys grab their breasts, and gesture at us while pointing at their private parts. We are afraid that they will sexually harass us," said Njeri.
It just goes to show that they are not that entirely different from humans.

Another Brick in the Wall of Abuse & Neglect

Childhood Fantasy

Mumbled words echo in the room,
dark and nondescript - empty, save for a chair and the child upon it

Sometimes sobs, then spinning,
(how this little room spins about, violently shaking in its emptiness)

The child spins, out of control,
the sobs rend the room completely, in their vehemence

The quiet voices come again, the child's name is spoken
but never heard in the locked safety of its mind

Away from the world, the soul of a child hides,
from pain and violence, hatred and fear, lost to aging and humanity

The indifference in those eyes, really just a void,
no one is home, they've all gone to play, where the only fragment of freedom lies,
deep in the recesses of that small, innocent mind

She Must Have Heard Rammstein

Battle Cry

The grey sky hangs above, a fine mist sprays the pavement,
and alone she stands there unprotected

Clinging clothes, and sodden hair, a vision of pure despair,
until she hears the music, loud and strong like a battle cry

The world doesn't stop, doesn't hear - but she does
she hears the bass, and each note clings to her like the rain

Triumphant she walks on to bear the troubles of her mind,
armed with truth and the lyrics of her soul

Technorati is Your Friend

I would like to be read.  It may sound selfish, but I feel that I am finally ready to have someone READ my poetry.  If you find me and like me, please share me with others.  There's enough of me to go around.  My Technorati Profile is ready and waiting to get around the globe. **wink, wink**

A 'Thank You' to Billy the Blogging Poet

Billy is a wonderful writer, and first class blogger.  He is also a great inspiration.  He invited me to open up my writing channels by joining up here, and sharing with fellow MuseCrafters.  So here I am.

Currently I have my writing up at my blog Infinite Darkness of the Soul.  It would mean a great deal to me if some of you checked it out.

Thank you to my readers, and a special thank you to Billy.

Long live the Carrot!
