Fire
My husband Jacob wrote this as a comment to my last entry. I enjoyed reading it and thought I'd repost it as a blog so that it might be easier for others to find. Thank you Honey. You always seem to find the right words to say.

Fire

Fire absolutely terrifies me. I get paranoid any time I even think about my own house burning, yet for some reason when I'm at a fire, I HAVE TO BE up close and personal with it. It actually becomes a "fire vs. me" who will win scenario. Getting face-to-face with the the devil and driving him back into the void he came from really gives me encouragement that every demon can be defeated, even personal ones. When we lose one such as this, it reminds me just how much I do have to lose, and that I might not win. Worse yet, I could lose even more than just property, but someone I love. Thankfully everyone survived this fire. We don't always have control over fires, but we do control our own lives. Nobody should ever let their demons win. They can be beat.
