I just heard yesterday from a dear friend of mine that Hershey's has came our with a new kind of Kiss. It's cheesecake! Just the sound makes my mouth water. Last year they came out with Cherry Cordial. They were to die for! I bought a bag to use for crafts and I ate the entire bag in one night. I couldn't stop myself. How is one suppose to have any will power over these types of flavors.
This got me to thinking about why I can't diet. See even if I started with the whole New Years resolution there is always leftover holiday fudge and gifts of chocolate and popcorn. Jacobs Aunt Kim makes these chocolate covered pretzels.. yummy! So January is already out of the picture and along comes February. February equals Valentines candy. I can almost taste those sweet Dove candies now. The kids bring home all their valentines and it's just too much for one kid. I must help them eat it. March and April, now were talking Easter! The little candy covered chocolate eggs are my favorite. Surely just one bag won't hurt nothin'. May is met with Mother's Day and end of the school year parties. Like I said before it's just not healthy for one kid to eat that much candy. It's my parental duty to help. June is baseball month. Who can go to a baseball game and not have a bag of skittles or popcorn? Not me. We're talking tradition now! Along comes the 4th of July and family BBQ's! I can smell the grill and see all those red white and blue cookies now! July also happens to by my birthday and who can diet on their birthday? That's just not right! August school starts back up and I'm just too busy to eat well. That and the kids want cookies after school. I promise they are for the kids. September comes and fall festivals are everywhere. The smell of caramel apples. You just have to get one. It's the only time of the year they make them. October and everyone know what that means.. Halloween! What an idea! It's an entire holiday built around candy! This seasons specialty is candy corn. You know I eat one color at a time. The bags of candy last well into November. The moist turkey, or a bit dry if you're eating at my moms :). The turkey isn't even the best part. It's the only time of year my mom makes homemade chocolate pies. This year we should just skip the turkey and go straight for the pies. December comes so fast and there we are with the greatest invention ever... the chocolate covered cherry! I truly believe these were sent straight from Heaven!
Another year down and back to January and I just can't see why my pants won't fasten. I work so hard!
