For my Wright County readers this is what you will find when you go to the poll today. Now normally I'd tell you my opinion and try to make my point but as I head to the poll today I am still undecided. Here is your ballot..
WRIGHT COUNTY:
PROPOSITION 1
Shall the County of Wright, Missouri, impose a countywide general revenue sales tax under the provisions of Section 67,582, Mo. Rev. Stats. at the rate of one-half of one percent for the purpose of paying the costs of operating a new county criminal justice / courts building? Imposition of the general revenue sales tax will permit the elimination of the county's levy for real property tax.
PROPOSITION 2
Shall the County of Wright, Missouri, impose a countywide general revenue sales tax under the provisions of Section 67.700, Mo. Rev. Stats. at the rate of one-half of one percent for the purpose of constructing, equipping and furnishing a new county criminal justice / courts building to house the judicial offices, courts, jury rooms, prosecuting attorney, clerk of the circuit court, county assessor, county agriculture extension office, a jail for prisoners, and associated administrative space for the sheriff, deputies and law enforcement personnel? This sales tax shall be terminated upon the payment of the bonds or certificates issued to finance the Project or 16 years from the imposition of sales tax, whichever comes first,.
