The end of the dark road
A long dark road with only one end
To take thine own life
The devastation it will send
Do you not see the pain that will lie?
The hurt of those you love
To be with them until they too die
More than your life it will shatter
Take a look around
The life you take, it does matter
Make the choice to live again
Seek out help
To put the dark road to an end
I wrote this poem in part of a recent rescue call I went to. My own cousin died of suicide and I know in my heart he had no idea the hurt that it would cause our family. He wasn't able to get the help he needed. It's too late for him but it may not be too late for someone you know. If you or a family member is thinking of suicide please call 1-800-SUICIDE
