Cake I love for so many reasons
Favors of plenty for all the seasons
A slice of life in every bite
For the last piece my husband will fight
Icing, Frosting by whatever name
They taste as sweet just the same
My cake I am so fond
For my heart has found a bond
Rich and dense or light as a feather
Cake can make everything better
Whatever flavor is your favorite
I guarantee that I can make it
So why do I bake?
