After an already long day of work, taking children to and from school, family visits, and then making a relativly quick trip to Springfield I finally arrived home and sat down around 9:00pm. Jacob has already informed me that while being gone and stuck in the laundry room Sadie, our German Shepard, has decided to make a treat out of a bag of ice melt. Luckily, she didn't find it appealing and did not eat enough to make her sick. She did however manage to destroy the bag and leave granulated ice melt all over my laundry room floor.
I decide to sit down at my computer and check on my homework assignments while the children are finishing up their homework, chores and quietly playing... or so I thought... I get up to change the baby and get him in bed. As I walk by the bathroom I hear splashing. Thinking our little 3yo is in there playing in the water instead of washing her hands I open the door to usher her out. To my surprise I find the splashing sound is coming from water splashing onto the floor from the bathroom sink. The floor has about 2 inches of water and is starting to pour out into the hall. I yell for Jacob and he and our 14yo rush in and start helping me clean up. We grab ever single towel out of both bathrooms, an old blanket and the mop to get it all cleaned up. Everything under the sink is now drying on top of the sink and my bathtub is still full of wet towels.
The bathroom is dry and the first load of towels is in the washer. The 14yo looks at me and says "The whole house is falling apart" lol. It's under control now but the stoppers for the sinks have all been placed in high cabinets.
