It's 3:00am and I'm up waiting out next arrival. She should be here in a little while. I'm honored to be able to help these children although it saddens me that there is a need in the first place. I try to put myself in these kids shoes and I can't even begin to imagine. Not even counting the reasons why they are in custody but the fact that they are being separated from the only things they have ever known and are being taken somewhere to a place they have never been to people they have never met. I would be devastated. These kids are so brave.

Jacob is going to stay awake and wait. I think I'll nap on the couch until they arrive.

UPDATE: So much for taking a nap. Jacob got called out right after I sent my post :( Our newest foster daughter, a 10yo girl, arrived around 4:30am.
