Baby Logan woke up for the second time around 2:00am and then at 5:00am and for good around 7:00am. Jacob took Connor and Mandie to school for me today because he had promised yesterday. The girls slept in until around 9:00am!! I got them changed, breakfast made, dressed and hair combed. By this time Logan is ready to eat again. I feed him. Do a load of laundry and run the dishwasher. Sit down at my computer for around 45 seconds when the girls announce that they want to watch cartoons. Got up and turned on Dora. Sat back down for close to 2 minutes when they come in wanting more milk. Ok, get back up get milk. Saw the school packet and remembered that I needed to fill out some forms for Sarah to start school on Monday. Sat down to fill them out. Logan started to get fussy again so I was trying to fill them out, hold Logan and try to make the darn pen I had work. Finally got the entire packet filled out. Lots of paperwork that says and wants the exact same information!! I started trying to pick up the house as I knew a case worker would be coming by later. By this time it's 11:30am and the girls want lunch. I realize that I only have one hour to get everything ready before I need to go pick up Mandie and Connor from school as they only had half a day today. I went in and work up Jacob that was still asleep because he'd been up all night. Got him out of bed. Changed Logan for around the 3ed time. He went and picked up Mandie and Connor then we had to switch out Kids so that I could go with Jacob to parent teacher conferences. Went and talked to Connor's teacher with said he was doing GREAT!! Then went and talked with the high school principle which is Mandie's advisor and then to two of her teachers. They all said she was doing really well. Loaded back up to go home and a %@*$ train was on the track blocking all 3 crossings. It wad finally moved by the time we got back to town for the second time. Got home around 2:00 and was VERY thankful that Mandie had cleaned up the house while I was gone! Our case worker for Mandie came around 2:30pm. We visited with her around an hour. The kids wanted to play outside so I bundled them up and let them. go outside. We were hungry by this time and Jacob fired up the BBQ grill and started grilling burgers. While he was grilling our German Shepard decided to go visit the neighbor and Jacob had to go chase her down while I took over grill duty. The burgers got done and Jacob got back. We all went inside and sat at the table to eat dinner. We're pretty busy but we try to always eat at the table. With this large of a family it makes things easier. After dinner I cleaned up the "dishes", we ate on paper plated tonight :). Jacob wanted me to play a game on the computer with him so I fed and changed Logan, put a movie on for the younger kids and then sat down at the computer for a little bit. Of course it wasn't without interruption but we did manage to finish the game in which he beat me. :( After playing the game was bath time. Followed closely by bedtime. This is when I noticed that the 5yo had wrote on the wall with chap stick!! URG. I got it cleaned off. I ended up having to go back in and tell them to be quiet and set to sleep 8 times! Now it's 10:00pm and all 5 of them are asleep. I know I missed a few bottles and diaper changes for the baby and 2yo but trust me they got them I just don't remember in exactly what order, don't want ya to think I never feed or change them. lol. I also worked on the kids "lifebooks" that we have to keep updated as foster parents tonight.
So I'm tired. I've consumed about twice as much soda in the last 7 days than I normally do but I've still somehow managed to lose 5lbs! Kids are a lot of work!
Tomorrow I get to do it all over again!
