Forthcoming Greatness

Three things to get excited for coming next month:

1) Dirty Projectors Bitte Orca

Despite leaking 2 months ago, it's slated for "official" release on June 9th. The title track "Useful Chamber" (see, now you have to listen, cause I know you're wondering what I mean by title track...) is otherworldly. Well, the whole album is. I don't think that it leaking beforehand will do anything to dim the excitment when they begin their summer performances. They'll be playing Summerstage at Central Park 6/05 and Williamsburg Waterfront 6/19 (I'll be at the free show...cause that's how I roll).

2) Sally Shapiro's new album and single Miracle

If you listened to the Swedish singer's debut Disco Romance then you should be excited for her second release coming in mid June. I've been totally digging on new electro disco (Glass Candy is another great example) and I think Shapiro really exemplifies the genre, however big of a douchebag I may be for liking Post-Disco Disco. I mean shit, the more disco the better, right? Check out some of my favorite tracks below, and keep and eye out for her next month.

3) SUMMER.
